Job summary
NEOS Engineering is seeking a Mobile Plant Engineer to join a well-established plant and equipment business. You will service, maintain and repair a range of plant and construction equipment, diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults and carry out planned preventative maintenance on customer sites.
The role covers mobile plant such as excavators, dumpers, telehandlers, loaders, rollers and generators.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Plant Engineer, Plant Fitter, Mobile Plant Engineer or similar.
- Strong mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding experience.
- Experience working on construction or heavy plant equipment.
- Full UK driving licence.
- NVQ / City & Guilds qualifications in Plant Maintenance or Land-Based Engineering are advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of plant and construction equipment.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs.
- Attending customer sites to carry out repairs and servicing.
- Preparing machinery for hire / return and ensuring equipment is safe and operational.
- Completing service reports and relevant maintenance documentation.
- Working closely with customers and the wider engineering team.
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety at all times.
