Job summary

NEOS Engineering is seeking a Mobile Plant Engineer to join their Gloucester team. The role focuses on servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of construction and plant equipment both in the workshop and on client sites.

You will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults, carry out planned maintenance, complete service reports and work closely with customers while upholding high safety standards. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Plant Engineer, Plant Fitter, Mobile Plant Engineer or similar.
Strong mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding experience.
Experience working on construction or heavy plant equipment.
A full UK driving licence.
NVQ/City & Guilds qualifications in Plant Maintenance, Land-Based Engineering or a similar discipline would be advantageous, but practical plant experience is the key requirement.

Responsibilities

Servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of plant and construction equipment
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
Attending customer sites across the local area to carry out repairs and servicing
Preparing machinery for hire / return and ensuring equipment is safe and operational
Completing service reports and relevant maintenance documentation
Working closely with customers and the wider engineering team
Maintaining high standards of health & safety at all times
