Job summary

Connect Appointments is recruiting a Mobile Plant Engineer to join a long-established plant machinery business in Auchtermuchty. The role offers a full-time permanent position with a brand new service van and a Monday–Friday 8am–5pm pattern in Scotland across client sites.

You will service, maintain, repair, diagnose faults with Jaltest/Texa, work on 12V/24V systems, and keep precise service records. Driving license and tools are essential; welding skills are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Time-served plant or agricultural engineering background with SVQ/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working on plant and equipment.
• Experience with Jaltest or Texa diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair plant machinery including excavators, dumpers, rollers, telehandlers, ATVs and small plant.
• Diagnose faults using Jaltest and Texa diagnostic equipment.
• Work across 12v and 24v electrical systems.
• Deliver high standard of customer service at client sites across Scotland.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.

Connect Appointments is recruiting a Mobile Plant Engineer to join an established plant machinery business based in Auchtermuchty.

Our client provides plant machinery maintenance, repair and hire services across Scotland, offering a brand new fully kitted service van and a varied field-based role for a fully qualified plant engineer.

What’s on offer?

• Full-time permanent position
• Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
• Overtime and weekend work available
• £17 to £19 per hour – dependent on experience
• Brand new fully kitted service van provided

As a Mobile Plant Engineer, your duties will include:

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing plant machinery including excavators, dumpers, rollers, telehandlers, ATVs and small plant
• Diagnosing faults using Jaltest and Texa diagnostic equipment
• Working across 12v and 24v electrical systems
• Delivering a high standard of customer service at client sites across Scotland
• Maintaining accurate service records and documentation

To be considered as a Mobile Plant Engineer, you will need:

• Time-served plant or agricultural engineering background with an SVQ/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent is essential
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience working on plant and equipment
• Experience with Jaltest or Texa diagnostic equipment
• A full UK driving licence and your own tools is essential
• Welding and fabrication experience is advantageous
