Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD are seeking a Plant Engineer to service, maintain and repair heavy plant across Scotland, including on-site breakdowns from Lanark to other sites. You will diagnose issues, perform preventative maintenance and complete documentation for customer sites.

This permanent, full-time role offers a 40-hour week, door-to-door pay, a company van, and ongoing training to support career development across a growing civil engineering portfolio.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Plant Engineer / Mobile Plant fitter or similar.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience working on excavators, dump trucks, dozers, loading shovels, rollers or similar heavy plant.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on heavy plant machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
• Attend breakdowns at customer sites across Scotland.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Complete service reports and maintenance documentation.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Work independently while providing excellent customer service.

Job description

Location: Lanark. Salary: £18.00 - £20.00 per hour + Door-to-Door Pay + Company Van.

Our client is a well-established plant hire and earthworks contractor with over 50 years of experience, operating a modern fleet of earthmoving equipment across Scotland and Northern England. They support a wide range of civil engineering, infrastructure, quarrying, utilities, and renewable energy projects.

Role Overview

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of heavy plant machinery.

Requirements
