Job summary

Path Recruitment is seeking a mobile plant engineer to cover sites in London and surrounding areas. The role offers a salary around £60k with overtime and a company van, plus a pension scheme and regular Monday–Friday hours.

You will perform preventative maintenance on diggers, dumpers, excavators and rollers, diagnose faults to minimise downtime, and assist the hire desk when needed. A full UK driving licence and experience with major plant brands are required.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Experience maintaining construction plant equipment.
• Experience with brands: JCB, Volvo, CAT, Bomag.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out preventative maintenance to construction equipment (diggers, dumpers, excavators, rollers).
• Diagnose faults quickly to minimise downtime.
• Provide solutions to support the hire desk as required.
• Carry out repairs to manufacturer guidelines.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities of the Mobile Plant Engineer include:

• Carrying out preventative maintenance to the company's construction equipment such as diggers, dumpers, excavators, and rollers.
• Quickly and effectively diagnose faults on equipment to ensure minimal downtime for your client.
• Providing solutions and assistance to support the hire desk where required.
• Carry out repairs efficiently and to manufacturer guidelines
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures

You may have worked as a Plant Engineer, Plant Fitter, Plant Technician, Plant Mechanic, Mobile Plant Engineer, Workshop Plant Engineer, Agricultural Engineer, or similar. You must hold a full UK driving license. You will have previous experience working on a range of plant equipment including JCB, Volvo, CAT, Bomag, and other related manufacturers.
