Job summary

Connect Appointments is recruiting a Mobile Plant Engineer to support a growing plant machinery business based in Auchtermuchty, Scotland. The role offers a structured field-based workload with a brand-new service van and on-site client work across Scotland.

You'll service, diagnose and repair a range of plant equipment, using Jaltest and Texa, and maintain thorough service records. A time-served background (SVQ/NVQ3) and 5+ years on-site experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Time-served plant or agricultural engineering with SVQ/NVQ Level 3 is essential.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience on plant/equipment.
• Experience with Jaltest or Texa diagnostic equipment.
• Full UK driving licence and your own tools is essential.
• Welding and fabrication experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing plant machinery including excavators, dumpers, rollers, telehandlers, ATVs and small plant.
• Diagnosing faults using Jaltest and Texa diagnostic equipment.
• Working across 12v and 24v electrical systems.
• Delivering a high standard of customer service at client sites across Scotland.
• Maintaining accurate service records and documentation.

Connect Appointments is recruiting a Mobile Plant Engineer to join an established plant machinery business based in Auchtermuchty.

Our client provides plant machinery maintenance, repair and hire services across Scotland, offering a brand new fully kitted service van and a varied field-based role for a fully qualified plant engineer.

What's on offer?

• Full-time permanent position


• Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm


• Overtime and weekend work available


• £17 to £19 per hour - dependent on experience

As a Mobile Plant Engineer, your duties will include:
