Job summary

ASDA is seeking a dedicated Mobile Optometrist for a 24-hour-per-week, three-day position in Washington. You will perform standard eye examinations, contact lens fittings, and extended service checks, working with the Dispensing Optician Manager to train staff and maintain departmental standards.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC.
• Registered NHS performer with your NHS area team or health board.
• MECs or WECs accreditation (or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months of joining Asda – funded and supported by us).
• On track to meet CPD points requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye examinations, contact lens assessments and extended service examinations.
• Collaborate with the Dispensing Optician Manager to train and coach colleagues.
• Support delivery of NHS extended eye care services and pursue additional accreditations as needed.
