Job summary

Asda in Queensferry is seeking a qualified optometrist to join our optical department on a part-time basis. The role focuses on NHS-funded eye care, screening patients, and delivering high-quality patient experiences within a bustling store environment.

You will benefit from a comprehensive CPD programme with protected time and funding, training across clinical and service development, and a supportive team with access to regional and home office guidance.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC.
• Registered performer with NHS area team or health board.
• MECs or WECs accreditation (or willing to gain within 12 months of joining Asda, funded by us).
• On track to meet CPD points requirement.
• Able to use clinical skills to deliver a memorable customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients and coach the wider team while maintaining department standards.
• Access and participate in the CPD programme funded by Asda.
• Develop new patient services to meet customer needs.
• Coordinate with in-store and regional teams for clinical and service queries.
