Job summary

BT Group in Leeds is seeking a senior Network Improvement professional to investigate complex customer and service issues, translating insights into practical improvements within the live EE network.

You will combine customer insight, network data and testing to identify root causes, then drive action across Networks, partners and stakeholders while ensuring customer satisfaction and network performance.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of mobile network technologies and service flows.
• Understanding RF principles including power measurements and spectrum.
• Experience using specialist test equipment and interpreting network data.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear link to customer impact.
• Ability to explain complex technical issues to technical teams and stakeholders.
• Strong customer and stakeholder management, including escalations.
• Ability to influence across organisational boundaries to drive action.
• Collaborative approach with willingness to share knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations into complex or high-profile issues that fall outside standard operational processes.
• Combine customer insight, network data and real-world testing to identify root causes and recommend lasting improvements.
• Conduct walk and drive testing, engage directly with customers and evaluate solutions.
• Turn customer insight into improvement across network, service or processes.
• Identify recurring themes and translate issues into wider improvements.
• Present clear customer evidence to stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Use complaints and live-network data to identify risks and opportunities.
• Support network and service performance and benchmarking.
• Test new products and technologies in the live network and assess readiness.
• Identify opportunities to automate and apply analytics (AIOps) across operations.
• Collaborate across Networks, business units, managed services and partners.
• Develop SME capability within the team and share knowledge.
• Provide actionable technical recommendations to leadership.
