Job summary

Northumbrian Water is seeking Mechanical Technicians for a newly formed team focused on preventative maintenance of Screens and SPS assets. Based from Seaham, County Durham, you’ll maintain assets across the North East and support proactive diagnostics to reduce downtime.

You will be time-served and educated to ONC/NVQ level 3 in Mechanical Engineering, with a background in reactive breakdowns and planned work, plus fault-finding from drawings. A UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• ONC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Experience with reactive breakdowns and planned maintenance is expected.
• Able to read mechanical drawings and identify faults.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance on Screens and SPS assets.
• Diagnose faults and implement repairs to minimise downtime.
• Perform condition-based servicing and asset optimisation across the North East.
• Maintain equipment across Northumbria Water assets as required.
