Job summary

Manpower Group (UK) is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician with a strong plumbing bias to join our maintenance team across Newcastle. The role centres on domestic plumbing maintenance and repairs within a diverse estate of buildings.

Working hours are 8:00am–4:00pm, Monday to Friday, with on-call rota every 10 weeks (£160). NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance and a Full UK Driving Licence are essential; the position offers a pathway to permanent employment after the temporary period.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance or equivalent.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Previous experience in plumbing maintenance.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of plumbing fixtures such as taps, sinks, toilets and showers.
• Diagnosing and resolving plumbing faults.
• Planned preventative maintenance.
• Reactive maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Deliver high standard of customer service to building users.
• Support wider mechanical maintenance tasks as required.
