Job summary

Equans is seeking a Mobile Mechanical/Heating Engineer to service and repair heating systems across South Wales, the South West, and Bristol on a permanent basis. The position is full-time with a company vehicle and a competitive benefits package.

You will perform maintenance, installations, and ensure proper documentation, including CAFM entries. A recognised plumbing qualification and Gas Safe status are required, along with a valid driving licence and DBS check.

Qualifications

• Recognised industry qualification required; plumbing qualifications essential.
• Gas Safe qualifications desirable.
• Full UK driving licence essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair heating/hot water systems and general plumbing.
• Carry out installation work and certify installations.
• Complete PPM, reactive and breakdown paperwork promptly.
• Record plant failures and issue quotes via CAFM system.
• Take part in the on-call rota.

This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle and benefits package.The majority of the work will be based in South Wales and the surrounding areas whilst also covering contracts in Bristol occasionally.What will you deliver?Working on the following equipment but not limited to; Commercial Boilers, Associated Gas Equipment, Water Heaters, Water Supply etc.Maintenance and repair of heating/hot water systems and general plumbingCarry out Installation work and complete appropriate CertificationCover numerous sites that fall within the contract such as Stellantis, Guide Dogs, IOPC, ITV etc.Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the contract administratorEnsure reactive tasks throughout the sites are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made. Identify and record all plant failures using quotation forms and issue to line manager.
