Job summary

Equans is seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance & Service Technician to join the on-site team at the University of Leicester Student Accommodation project. The role requires a base trade qualification to NVQ level 2 or equivalent and experience in a similar position.

You will perform reactive and preventative maintenance, respond to requests during normal hours and be part of the on-call rota. The package includes a company van, 24 days of annual leave plus holidays, Life Cover and a broad benefits

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in a similar role essential.
• Working knowledge of ACOP L8 desirable.
• Computer literate with good organisational and administration acumen.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned and reactive maintenance at the Freemens Common student accommodation site.
• Provide initial response to Reactive Maintenance requests during normal working hours and Out of Hours rota.
• Quarterly shower head & hose cleaning in accordance with L8 requirements (training provided).
• Monthly temperature monitoring of Hot & Cold water systems.
• Monitor mechanical systems, fittings and plantrooms; undertake regular visual inspections.
• Undertake minor repairs to faults in student bedrooms and shared kitchen facilities.
• Bi-annual Fire Door inspections and record faults/damages.
