Job summary

Skilled Careers in London is seeking a Mobile Mechanical Engineer to deliver maintenance across a portfolio of commercial sites in London and the Home Counties. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding and repairs on mechanical building services while working across multiple sites.

The role offers a salary up to £50,000 DOE plus a company van, fuel card, phone and benefits, and requires a full UK driving licence and a proactive, customer‑facing approach.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical or Building Services Engineer.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience within commercial building services or facilities management.
• Experience working on a range of mechanical plant.
• Good understanding of PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.

Responsibilities

• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Reactive maintenance and breakdown response.
• Fault finding, diagnostics and repairs.
• Working on pumps, valves, pipework and heating systems.
• Maintenance of AHUs and FCUs.
• Basic maintenance of boilers and associated plant.
• Working on hot and cold water systems.
• Plant room maintenance.
• Small mechanical repairs and remedial works.
• Completing accurate job sheets and maintenance reports.
• Identifying additional works and remedial requirements.
• Liaising professionally with clients and site teams.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with relevant regulations.

Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer looking for a mobile role covering London and the Home Counties

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Mobile Mechanical Engineer to join a growing team, working across a varied portfolio of commercial properties.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance across a range of mechanical and building services equipment. Working across multiple sites, you will carry out fault finding, repairs and maintenance while ensuring all works are completed to a high standard.
