Job summary

Belmont Talent is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Engineer / Multi-Trade Operative to join an established team covering East Anglia, ideally based near King's Lynn. The role involves repairs, general maintenance and minor improvements across commercial sites.

You'll work across retail, healthcare and hospitality premises, with a 40-hour week, a company van, a phone and iPad provided, and an enhanced overtime/bonus scheme. A full clean driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

Mobile Maintenance Engineer / Multi-Trade Operative

£40,000 + Bonus + Enhanced Overtime Rates

Are you a practical, hands‑on maintenance professional who enjoys variety and solving problems?

We're looking for a Mobile Maintenance Engineer / Multi-Trade Operative to join an established maintenance team, carrying out repairs, general maintenance and minor improvement works across commercial properties.

You'll work across a range of sites, including retail premises, healthcare and hospitality venues.

As a Mobile Maintenance Engineer no two days will be quite the same! You'll be responsible for a variety of maintenance and repair tasks, including:

• General building maintenance and repairs
• Carpentry, door repairs, locks and ironmongery
• Painting, decorating and tiling
• Minor plumbing and electrical works
• Suspended ceilings and minor groundworks
• Other general property maintenance tasks

You'll travel between sites across East Anglia, working independently and as part of a wider maintenance team.

What will our new Mobile Maintenance Engineer have

Ideally, you'll have experience in building maintenance, property maintenance, facilities maintenance or a multi‑trade role.

You'll also need:

• Good practical skills across several maintenance trades
• Confidence working independently and solving problems
• Good communication and customer service skills
• A reliable, organised approach to work
• A full, clean driving licence
• A willingness to travel and participate in an on‑call rota

Experience in shopfitting or commercial property maintenance would be beneficial, but isn't essential.

Relevant trade qualifications or a CSCS card would be an advantage.

Working Hours

40 hours per week, working five days out of seven.

Some weekend, shift and out-of-hours working may be required, with an on‑call rota of one week in four.
