Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is recruiting a Mobile Multi-Skilled Engineer to cover a portfolio of commercial sites across Thames Valley, South Coast and East Midlands. The role involves PPM, reactive maintenance and basic building services across diverse sites.

You'll work independently, travel between sites, and ensure safety and compliance with Health & Safety procedures. A qualifying electrical or mechanical background with 18th Edition is preferred, and a company vehicle is provided.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites.

• Test and maintain electrical systems and equipment.
• General mechanical maintenance including pumps, motors, AHUs and FCUs.
• Complete maintenance records and compliance documentation.
• Travel between sites across the Thames Valley, South Coast and East Midlands.

Mobile Multi-Skilled Engineer – Commercial Sites – Thames Valley / South Coast & East Midlands – Up to £45,000

CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for a Mobile Multi-Skilled Engineer, ideally with an electrical bias, to cover a portfolio of commercial properties across the Thames Valley, South Coast and East Midlands.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and general building services works across a varied portfolio of sites. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working independently, travelling between sites and dealing with a variety of maintenance requirements.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across multiple sites.
• Electrical maintenance, fault-finding and minor installation works.
• Lighting, emergency lighting and power distribution.
• Testing and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
• Basic mechanical maintenance, including pumps, motors, AHUs and FCUs.
• Carry out general plumbing and building fabric maintenance.
• Monitor and investigate faults with building services equipment.
• Complete routine plant and equipment checks.
• Respond to reactive maintenance issues and breakdowns.
• Liaise professionally with clients, site contacts and contractors.
• Complete maintenance records, job sheets and compliance documentation.
• Ensure all works are completed safely and in line with relevant Health & Safety procedures.
• Travel between sites across the Thames Valley, South Coast and East Midlands.

Hours & Package:

• Salary up to £45,000 per annum
• Monday to Friday – 08:00–17:00
• Call‑out rota – details to be confirmed

Requirements:

• Electrically or mechanically qualified – City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or above
• 18th Edition desirable for electrically biased candidates
• Proven experience within commercial building maintenance
• Multi-skilled building services experience
• Strong electrical or mechanical maintenance and fault-finding skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Must be able to travel across the required area
