Job summary

Arcus FM Limited is seeking a skilled AC-biased Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Engineer to perform planned and reactive maintenance across a defined portfolio in the Birmingham area. You will deliver first-line response to emergencies, support customers, and mentor apprentices while travelling between client sites with a company van.

The role includes a field-based schedule, on-call duties (1 in 4 weeks), and ongoing training at our National Training Centre.

Qualifications

• Recognised apprenticeship or qualification in M&E services/maintenance.
• Essential Qualifications: F-Gas
• Desirable Qualifications: 18th Edition, Test & Inspection, Unvented
• Previous experience in a similar role (retail or commercial experience preferred)
• Valid UK driving licence (essential)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• IT proficiency and ability to manage workload effectively

Responsibilities

• Performing planned and reactive maintenance on M&E systems.
• Diagnosing and resolving faults in electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment.
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations.
• Providing technical support and expertise across multiple sites.
• Liaising with customers to deliver outstanding service.
• Supporting and mentoring apprentices and junior engineers
