Responsibilities

• Daily welcoming library users, answering enquiries and helping people use library resources and services.
• Library activity extends beyond the counter. The role supports library events, organises materials and information, completes administration and clerical work, and helps maintain a positive customer experience.
• Community relationships form part of the work, including contact with volunteers and local groups.
• Travel to libraries within 25 miles for staff cover.
• The adviser promotes library use and supports young volunteers on library placements.
