Job summary

Yorkshire Water is seeking an ICA Technician to join our Asset Maintenance team. You will maintain, repair and commission instrumentation, control and automation systems across treatment works, pumping stations, CSOs and reservoirs, working unsupervised in diverse locations.

You will contribute to safety, read and interpret technical drawings, fault diagnose PLC/SCADA equipment, and uphold safe isolation practices.

Qualifications

• A recognised electrical craft or technician apprenticeship.
• A formal electrical qualification: National Certificate (ONC) or similar.
• A practical electrical qualification: City and Guilds, NVQ or similar.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents such as loop diagrams and electrical drawings.
• Ability to identify and rectify faults on electrical systems.
• Safe isolation to the current IET regulations.
• IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and commission instrumentation, control and automation systems.
• Work unsupervised across a wide variety of locations.
• Complete planned and reactive ICA tasks within timescales, quality and cost parameters.
• Build and maintain relationships with operational customers, colleagues and partners.
