Job summary

Yorkshire Water is seeking an ICA Technician to join the Asset Maintenance team. The role covers West and mainly South Yorkshire, with commutable options to Huddersfield, Wakefield, Barnsley or Sheffield.

You will maintain, repair and commission instrumentation, control, automation and telemetry systems across treatment works, pumping stations, CSOs and reservoirs. You will work unsupervised in diverse locations, build relationships with operational customers, and proactively identify safety

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or formal qualification in electrical craft/engineering.
• ONC or equivalent electrical certificate.
• City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent electrical qualification.
• Professional registration with IET or similar.

Responsibilities

• Work unsupervised across locations, completing planned and reactive ICA tasks.
• Build and maintain relationships with operational customers, colleagues, suppliers and partners.
• Work safely and follow safe systems of work.
• Identify hazards and propose mitigations for safety improvements.
