Job summary

Vertas is seeking a Mobile Head of Kitchen to oversee multiple catering sites across Nottinghamshire, working 7:30am to 2:00pm, Monday to Friday, 30 hours per week, 39.2 weeks per year. You will travel between sites as required.

Lead kitchen operations, prepare meals to menu specifications, supervise catering colleagues, monitor food safety and hygiene, manage stock and records, and uphold high standards of cleanliness and service.

Qualifications

• Experience working within a catering environment, preferably in a supervisory or management role.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• A team player who can lead by example.
• The ability to organise workloads and work efficiently under pressure.
• A flexible approach and ability to work across multiple locations.
• A commitment to delivering excellent food and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving nutritious meals in line with menu specifications.
• Managing day to day kitchen operations across multiple sites.
• Supervising and supporting catering colleagues.
• Monitoring food safety, hygiene and Health and Safety requirements.
• Managing stock levels, ordering supplies and minimising waste.
• Maintaining accurate records in line with company procedures.
• Ensuring high standards of cleanliness and food quality.
• Providing support and cover where required across the catering operation.
