Vertas is seeking a Mobile Food Service Assistant to join our Catering Team across Nottinghamshire. You will support catering sites, assist with meal prep and serving, and ensure high standards of hygiene and customer care.

The role operates 16.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a 10:15am to 1:30pm shift, across multiple locations. Your responsibilities include assisting with meals, supporting kitchen teams, maintaining food safety, washing up, and providing excellent service to pupils,

Qualifications

• A positive and enthusiastic individual with a passion for customer service
• Previous catering experience is desirable but not essential
• A team player who can adapt to different environments
• Good communication and organisational skills
• The ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals
• Supporting kitchen teams across multiple locations
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness
• Washing up and cleaning catering equipment and work areas
• Assisting with stock rotation and storage procedures
• Following Health and Safety and food safety requirements at all times
• Providing excellent customer service to pupils, staff and visitors
