Job summary

Life Services Group is seeking a Mobile Funeral Service Specialist (Level One) based in the Exeter/Exmouth area. You will lead branch operations, support grieving families, and guide them through funeral plans with care and professionalism.

This role requires empathy, strong communication and organisational skills, with training provided to conduct ceremonies and coordinate with local partners. Weekend and on-call work is expected at times.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in care, admin or customer service is beneficial.
• Full UK driving licence desirable.
• Willing to work weekends and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Support families with empathy, professionalism and attention to detail.
• Arrange funerals meeting family wishes, ensuring legal and cultural compliance.
• Oversee day-to-day branch operations and administration.
• Build relationships with suppliers, care homes, ministers, and florists.
• Lead chapel visits and assist with ceremonial duties when needed.
• Promote funeral plans and contribute to branch sales.
• Train in Funeral Conducting for peak periods.
