Job summary

Interaction Technical, partnered with Interaction Recruitment, seeks a Mobile Forklift Engineer in Peterborough to diagnose faults, service and repair forklifts and plant equipment. You will respond to breakdowns, travel to customer sites, work independently, and document job reports.

• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults, service and repair forklifts and plant equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and carry out reactive maintenance.
• Travel to customer sites to complete planned and emergency work.
• Work independently while maintaining high service standards.
• Liaise with customers to provide effective technical solutions.
• Complete job reports and ensure documentation.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 + overtime at 1.5x

The Role

• Diagnose faults, service, and repair forklifts and plant equipment

• Complete job reports and ensure accurate documentation
• Work on engines, batteries, hydraulics, and electrical/mechanical systems

Requirements

• Previous experience in the forklift or plant industry (essential)
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills (essential)
• Experience working with hydraulics, engines, and battery systems (essential)
• Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ/City & Guilds - desirable)
• Full UK driving licence
