Job summary

Interaction Technical is seeking a Mobile Forklift Engineer to join their team in Newark-on-Trent. You will diagnose faults, service and repair forklift and plant equipment, and travel to customer sites to carry out maintenance on engines, hydraulics and pneumatics.

The role offers a salary of £35,000–£44,000 with door-to-door pay, overtime at 1.5x, a company van and fuel card, 24 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, and ongoing training with clear progression into leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Strong hydraulic, electrical and mechanical knowledge.
• Proven fault finding, service and repair experience.
• Experience on engines and battery-powered equipment.
• NVQ or City & Guilds in engineering (advantageous).
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing faults, servicing and repairing forklift and plant equipment.
• Attending breakdowns and carrying out emergency repairs.
• Performing mechanical and electrical fault finding.
• Working on engines, batteries, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Travelling to customer sites to carry out repairs and maintenance.
• Building strong relationships with customers on-site.
• Completing service reports and documentation accurately.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 + Overtime at 1.5x
