Job summary

Holt Recruitment is seeking an experienced Mobile Forklift Engineer to service, maintain and repair a range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment at customer sites across the North East. This field-based role offers independence and the chance to build strong customer relationships.

You'll diagnose faults, perform planned maintenance and ensure safe, efficient operation, with full UK driving licence required and ongoing manufacturer training and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Forklift Engineer.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience working independently in a field-based role.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
• Relevant engineering qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair forklift trucks and material handling equipment.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Attend breakdowns and provide timely repairs.
• Complete service documentation accurately.
• Maintain high levels of customer service.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety requirements.
• Manage van stock and company equipment effectively.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mobile Forklift Engineer to join a well-established and growing material handling business to cover the North East.

The Role

As a Mobile Forklift Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a variety of forklift trucks and material handling equipment at customer sites. You will diagnose faults, carry out planned maintenance and ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently. This is a field-based position covering a local territory in the North East, allowing you to build strong customer relationships while working independently.
