Job summary

Recruitment Helpline Ltd is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer for mobile welfare units. You will diagnose, repair, and service welfare cabins in the field, covering breakdowns and warranty work across customer sites and hire fleets.

A van-based role with remote diagnostics and hands-on fault-finding across generators, electrical, plumbing, and solar systems. The ideal candidate has multi-skilled field service experience, diesel engine expertise, and UK driving license with towing

Qualifications

Proven multi-skilled field service background in welfare units, generators or similar.
Diesel engine fault-finding and servicing in small industrial engines.
12V/24V DC electrical fault-finding and wiring using a multimeter.
Confident reading fault data/telemetry from remote diagnostics.
Practical plumbing/water-system repair skills.
Full UK driving licence; B+E towing entitlement or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

Attend, diagnose and repair mobile welfare cabins in the field, restoration to full working order first-time where possible.
Travel with a company van to customer sites and hire-fleet sites, breakdowns and service work.
Interpret remote telemetry and arrive prepared for on-site repair.
Perform fault finding across generators, hydraulic systems, plumbing, electrical, and solar systems.
Provide clear written job reporting and customer-facing updates.
