Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Field Service Engineer for Bourne, Lincolnshire. The role is depot-based with van coverage to customer sites nationwide, diagnosing faults and repairing generators, power, heating, water and waste systems.

You will work safely and, where possible, aim for first-time fixes in a mobile welfare unit environment. Applicants should have multi-skilled field service experience, diesel engine fault-finding, and strong diagnostic skills, with a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Proven multi-skilled field service background in welfare units, generators, plant, or similar.
• Diesel engine fault-finding and servicing for small industrial engines.
• 12V/24V DC electrical fault-finding and wiring knowledge with multimeter.
• Comfort reading fault data/telemetry from remote diagnostics.
• Practical plumbing/water-system repair skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend, diagnose and repair mobile welfare cabins in the field, restoring systems to full working order with first-time fixes where possible.
• Cover breakdowns and warranty/service work across customer sites and hire fleets.
• Work safely and unsupervised, using remote data to prepare on-site actions.
