Job summary

Kraken Works Limited is seeking a practical Electrical Field Service Engineer to deliver front-line support across customer networks in the UK and overseas. You will travel to sites, diagnose faults, perform repairs, and maintain electrical systems supporting our platforms, with a serviced mobile workshop van and remote fault diagnosis via portals.

The role demands an engineer who can work independently, communicate clearly, manage stock, and escalate to specialist teams when necessary.

Qualifications

• Practical electrical field service experience across mobile or on-site environments.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing low-voltage AC/DC systems and power distribution.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, diagrams and manuals.
• Proficiency with multimeters, insulation testers and diagnostic tools.
• Proactive, customer-focused, and able to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line electrical field support at customer sites and locations.
• Diagnose, maintain and repair platform electrical systems, incl. power distribution and batteries.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and manuals to troubleshoot faults.
• Use testing equipment to verify continuity, insulation and operation.
• Coordinate with remote teams and escalate when needed.
