Job summary

Cambridge Maintenance Services Limited is hiring a Mobile Electrical Engineer to deliver planned and reactive maintenance across electrical systems for a diverse client portfolio. You will operate with a company van, phone, tablet and uniform provided to support service excellence.

Role requires 18th Edition, NVQ Level 3, a full UK driving licence, and strong fault-finding skills. You’ll work 42.5 hours weekly with paid overtime, and collaborate with senior engineers to ensure compliance and

Qualifications

• Good understanding of Electrical Building Services.
• Relevant Electrical Installation qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• 18th Edition.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to interpret and analyse electrical systems.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service to clients, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards and in line with contractual requirements.
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and respond promptly to reactive maintenance and equipment breakdowns.
• Diagnose and rectify faults efficiently, arranging equipment replacements where required to minimise downtime.
• Complete quality inspections and ensure all work meets recognised industry standards and best practices.
• Effectively manage and maintain records through our Elogbooks facilities management system.
• Work closely with the Lead Engineer and Support Desk Supervisor to coordinate maintenance schedules, priorities, and reporting requirements.
• Participate in the out-of-hours emergency call-out rota as required.
• Undertake a variety of hands-on and physically demanding tasks across client sites.
• Ensure full compliance with company policies, health & safety legislation, and relevant industry regulations.
• Take ownership of your professional development by participating in training and maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge and qualifications.
• Build positive working relationships with clients and colleagues, representing the business professionally at all times.
• Support the wider team by undertaking additional duties appropriate to the role when required.
