Job summary

Trevett Services are recruiting a Mobile Electrical Engineer to cover a Birmingham-based mixed commercial contract. The role involves electrical maintenance, both preventive and reactive, across education and commercial sites.

Typical duties include fault-finding, small installations, control panels, power distribution, lamping, emergency lighting testing/maintenance, AHU & FCU maintenance, and more. Hours are Mon-Fri 08:00–16:30 with a 1 in 8 call out; standby is £120.

Qualifications

• Level 3 / apprenticeship equivalent in electrical engineering is required.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations knowledge is required.
• Minimum 18 months experience in a similar facilities management role.

Responsibilities

• Fault-finding on electrical systems and equipment.
• Carrying out preventive and reactive maintenance (PPM and reactive).
• Work on control panels and power distribution systems.

Trevett Services are working with the UK's largest engineering and services business, which has been in operation for over 100 years. Our client is looking to recruit a mobile electrical engineer to work on a mixed commercial contract across Birmingham.

The Role:

As a mobile electrical engineer, you will be responsible for covering all electrical maintenance, both PPM and reactive on a mixed commercial and education contract.

Typical duties include fault-finding, small installations, control panels, power distribution, lamping, ballast changes, emergency lighting testing/maintenance, AHU & FCU maintenance and much more.

Your hours of work will be Mon-Fri 08:00 - 16:30, with a 1 in 8 call out (standby is £120).

Qualifications & Experience:

Our client is ideally seeking someone who has a level 3/apprenticeship equivalent in electrical engineering is required along with the 18th edition. They also require someone to have at least 18 months experience within a similar role in Facilities Management.
