Job summary

Facilitate Search Ltd is seeking a Mobile Electrical Engineer to service a key Manchester contract. The role covers planned and reactive maintenance across office, business park and industrial sites with a company van and long-term stability.

The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified Electrical Engineer with 18th Edition, 2391 testing, and experience completing EICRs, plus a clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the North West and Midlands.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Electrical Engineer required with strong hands-on electrical maintenance skills.
• Experience with 2391 and EICR testing essential.
• Knowledge of 18th Edition Wiring Regulations is mandatory.
• Experience in commercial building maintenance / FM environment preferred.
• Clean driving licence and willingness to travel to Midlands as needed.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across a portfolio of sites.
• Perform reactive electrical maintenance and repairs as required.
• Conduct electrical fault finding and diagnostics to restore equipment.
• Carry out EICR testing and associated inspections.
• Prepare and complete maintenance and safety documentation to a high standard.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies.

Mobile Electrical Engineer

Location: Manchester / North West

Salary: £45,000 + Company Van + Benefits

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mobile Electrical Engineer to join a leading facilities management business, working predominantly across a key commercial contract in Manchester.

This is a great opportunity for an electrically qualified engineer looking for a secure, long-term position offering a strong basic salary, company van and very limited on-call requirements.

The Role

As a Mobile Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for planned and reactive electrical maintenance across a portfolio of commercial properties.

Day-to-day duties will include:

• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
• Reactive electrical maintenance and repairs
• Electrical fault finding and diagnostics
• EICR testing and inspections
• Testing and remedial works
• General electrical building services maintenance
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and compliantly
• Completing relevant maintenance and compliance documentation

The main contract is based in Manchester, although there will be occasional travel to other sites across the North West and Midlands, including Derby. Sites will predominantly consist of offices, business parks and industrial units.
