Job summary

Hydraquip, the UK’s leading hose and hydraulics specialist, is seeking a Service Coordinator to schedule mobile engineers, handle customer inquiries, and manage updates and records. You’ll work within a team to maintain high service levels and support branch operations.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and a proactive approach in a fast-paced environment; full training is provided and you’ll contribute to ongoing process improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, service coordination or scheduling.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service experience with regular updates.
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Team-focused with a proactive, flexible mindset.
• Experience in technical/industrial settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate Mobile Hose Engineers for callouts.
• Handle customer enquiries and provide timely updates.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans as priorities shift.
• Maintain service records and update systems.
• Support sales administration including processing orders and quotes.
• Deliver excellent customer service and build relationships.
• Collaborate with branch teams on improving operations.
• Follow health and safety procedures.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Schedule and coordinate Mobile Hose Engineers for customer breakdown callouts.
• Manage customer enquiries and provide timely service updates and ETAs.
• Monitor job progress and adjust schedules to meet changing priorities.
• Maintain accurate service records and system updates.
• Support sales administration, including processing orders, quotations and purchase orders.
• Deliver excellent customer service and build strong customer relationships.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support branch operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to company procedures and health & safety requirements.

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience in a customer service, service coordination, scheduling, administration, or office support role.
• Experience managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service experience, including handling customer enquiries and providing regular updates.
• Experience using computer systems and Microsoft Office applications to maintain accurate records and process information.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while managing your own workload.
• A proactive, flexible and positive approach to work.

Desirable Experience

• Experience scheduling engineers, drivers, field service teams or mobile workers.
• Previous experience in a service control, helpdesk, logistics, engineering support or customer operations environment.
• Experience processing sales orders, quotations or purchase orders.
• Knowledge of stock control processes.
• Experience working within a technical, engineering or industrial business.
