Job summary

Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Working Supervisor to support the FM Team Leader and supervise Domestic Staff across remote sites. A full UK driving licence is required to manage field tasks and ensure high-quality, compliant service delivery.

You will help allocate work, monitor schedules, train staff, and maintain safety and cleanliness standards in line with National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2025.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 1 in cleaning, customer and support services or equivalent experience.
• Able to work in a team-based environment and follow NHS cleaning standards.
• Understanding of domestic service activities within NHS cleaning and standard cleaning frequency schedules.
• Experience in general cleaning tasks and basic portering duties.
• Ability to work in a busy, multi-faceted environment and adhere to safety policies.
• Full clean UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day cleaning tasks and schedules within designated areas.
• Assist in rostering and shift supervision to ensure service delivery.
• Delegate tasks and supervise domestic staff on duty.
• Conduct staff induction and on-the-job training within timescales.
• Communicate with FM Team Leader about operational needs and resource issues.
• Ensure adherence to PPE usage and waste management policies.
