Job summary

The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester is seeking a proactive Domestic Services Supervisor to lead cleaning teams across the site. The role supports development of leadership skills within an NHS environment and requires strong communication and people-management abilities.

Rotational 5 over 7 shifts, including weekends, with structured management development and opportunities for a Facilities Management apprenticeship. Band 3 level with competitive enhancements.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2 standard or equivalent in supervision, and/or cleaning and support services and customer care.
• Functional skills English Level 2 or equivalent.
• Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in cleaning and support services.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision, training and development of domestic and deep clean teams.
• Organise and plan staff rotas and cleaning schedules.
• Monitor quality of cleaning work and ensure compliance with standards.
• Train staff on equipment and safety procedures.
• Support policy development and service improvement initiatives.
