Job summary

Mount Charles Group is recruiting a Cleaning Operative to join our team across Portadown sites. You will provide high-quality housekeeping to meet client specifications and travel to multiple sites as required.

Role requires a full clean driving licence, strong customer service, and meticulous attention to detail. We offer a pension, EAP and a company van with fuel card, plus pro-rata annual leave and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Full clean driving licence is required.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Experience in customer service roles is desirable.
• Current BICS qualifications.
• Access NI clearance is required.
• Basic reading/writing/listening skills for safety instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level housekeeping/ Cleaning service across sites.
• Respond promptly and courteously to client requirements.
• Clean offices, toilets/showers and amenity areas site-wide.
• Follow all company procedures and safety regulations.
• Ensure premises are presented clean and tidy.
• Maintain health and safety and HACCP standards.
• Report defective equipment or hazards.
• Plan daily cleaning routes to cover multiple sites.

Working Pattern

• 40 hours per week
• Monday – Friday
• 8 hours per day

The Role

• Providing the highest level of housekeeping/Cleaning service within your area of responsibility in line with the clients’ specifications
• Responding positively, politely and promptly to all customer requirements and carry out your duties in a professional and courteous manner
• Providing a range of general cleaning services to include offices, toilets/showers and amenity areas site wide
• Making yourself familiar with and follow all company procedures and Regulations
• All offices, toilets, and amenity areas to be presented clean and tidy
• Comply with all Health, Safety & Hygiene standards
• Comply with all HACCP regulations as necessary
• Report defective equipment/ utensils/ work and floor surfaces or any other Health and Safety issues
• Plan daily cleaning routes to ensure efficient travel between multiple sites.
• Maintain a schedule to meet cleaning deadlines and client expectations.
• Prioritise tasks based on site requirements

The Person

• Full clean driving licence
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Previous work experience in customer service employment
• Current BICS Qualifications
• Access NI Clearance required
• NVQ/SVQ Level One in Cleaning Building Interiors would be an advantage but not essential
• Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work, instructions and communicating with customer on a day-today basis.
