Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Site-Based Cleaning Operative to cover Leeds/Doncaster/Sheffield. You’ll maintain high cleanliness standards across sites, supporting health, hygiene and comfort for residents and staff in approved premises that aid rehabilitation.

You will work with the security team, receive full training, and benefit from comprehensive wellbeing and employee support programs. This is a community-focused, purpose-driven role.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning is desirable but not essential; training provided.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work at a fast pace.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled cleaning tasks across multiple site areas.
• Perform periodic deep cleaning as instructed by supervisor.
• Clean kitchens, toilets, and communal areas and keep them presentable.
• Replenish stock and consumables such as toilet tissue and soaps.
• Collaborate with security team to report faults and hazards.
• Maintain health and safety training and ensure safe working practices.
• Deliver excellent customer service and adapt to changing needs.
• Work as part of a team and follow instructions.

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated Site-Based Cleaning Operative to join our team covering sites in the Leeds / Doncaster / Sheffield area. In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the site. Your efforts will directly contribute to the health, hygiene, and comfort of the residents and staff at each site. Approved Premises play a key role in supporting individuals released from prison, offering enhanced supervision and rehabilitation within the community. This role will give you insight into working in a residential setting with vulnerable and complex individuals, providing meaningful work that supports positive change. What you'll do:

• Focus on the details and complete a list of scheduled cleaning tasks
• Periodic deep cleaning of certain areas, instructed by supervisor
• Ensure all areas, including kitchens, toilets, communal areas are cleaned and are presentable
• Replenishing stock and consumables such as toilet tissue and hand soaps
• You'll work closely with the security team, reporting any faults or hazards… whilst also helping maintain the cleanliness of their areas too!
• This role requires you to have an approachable attitude
  Previous experience in a similar role, with knowledge of cleaning solutions and their uses is desirable, but not essential- our great training will ensure you are fully trained in all areas of health and safety!

• Can work at a fast pace and adapt to change when needed
