Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Site-Based Cleaning Operative at Deer Park Approved Premises, 100 - 108 Norfolk Park Road, Sheffield, S2 2RU. You will help uphold high cleanliness standards across the site, contributing to health, hygiene and resident comfort.

The role is part-time (8 hours weekly) with weekend shifts (Sat-Sun 08:00–12:00). Duties include daily cleaning, occasional deep cleans, stock replenishment, and coordination with the security team to keep areas safe and presentable.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable; training will cover health and safety.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Able to work at a fast pace and adapt to change.
• Be a team player who takes instruction.

Responsibilities

• Focus on completing a list of scheduled cleaning tasks.
• Periodic deep cleaning of areas as instructed by supervisor.
• Clean and present kitchens, toilets, and communal areas.
• Replenish stock and consumables such as toilet tissue and hand soaps.
• Collaborate with security to report faults or hazards and maintain cleanliness of their areas.

Job Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated Site-Based Cleaning Operative to join our team at Deer Park Approved Premises, 100 - 108 Norfolk Park Road, Sheffield, S2 2RU.

In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the site. Your efforts will directly contribute to the health, hygiene, and comfort of the residents and staff at each site.

Approved Premises play a key role in supporting individuals released from prison, offering enhanced supervision and rehabilitation within the community.This role will give you insight into working in a residential setting with vulnerable and complex individuals, providing meaningful work that supports positive change.

What you'll do:

• Focus on the details and complete a list of scheduled cleaning tasks


• Periodic deep cleaning of certain areas, instructed by supervisor


• Ensure all areas, including kitchens, toilets, communal areas are cleaned and are presentable


• Replenishing stock and consumables such as toilet tissue and hand soaps


• You’ll work closely with the security team, reporting any faults or hazards..whilst also helping maintain the cleanliness of their areas too!


• This role requires you to have an approachable attitude

What you bring:

• Previous experience in a similar role, with knowledge of cleaning solutions and their uses is desirable, but not essential- our great training will ensure you are fully trained in all areas of health and safety!
