Job summary

Sodexo Ltd is hiring a dedicated Cleaner for Victoria House, Hampshire Court. The role supports residents, staff and visitors by maintaining a clean, safe environment in an Approved Premises setting.

Position requires 12.5 hours per week (Mon–Fri, 06:30–08:30). Applicants must be 18+ with valid photo ID. Training provided; you’ll work as part of a supportive team in Newcastle area.

Qualifications

• Aged 18+ with valid photographic ID.
• Cleaning experience is desirable but not essential; full training provided.
• Friendly, approachable with good communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work efficiently in a busy environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Reliable team player who contributes positively to the group.

Responsibilities

• Take pride in cleaning tasks and complete them to a high standard.
• Carry out periodic deep cleans to keep areas fresh and welcoming.
• Clean kitchens, toilets, communal spaces and other facilities.
• Monitor and replenish essential supplies (toilet tissue, soap, consumables).
• Cooperate with security to report faults or hazards promptly.
• Support the wider team by maintaining tidy working areas.

What you'll do:

• Take pride in your work by completing scheduled cleaning tasks to a consistently high standard.
• Carry out periodic deep cleans as required, helping to keep the environment fresh, hygienic and welcoming.
• Keep kitchens, toilets, communal areas and other facilities clean, tidy and presentable at all times.
• Monitor and replenish essential supplies, including toilet tissue, hand soap and other consumables.
• Work closely with the security team, building positive relationships and reporting any faults, maintenance issues or potential hazards promptly.
• Support the wider team by helping to maintain clean and presentable working areas.
• Bring a friendly, approachable and professional attitude to your work, helping to create a positive environment for residents, colleagues and visitors.
• Take ownership of your responsibilities and be proud of the difference your work makes every day

What you bring:

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential — full training will be provided, including cleaning products, equipment and health and safety.
• A friendly, approachable attitude with good communication and customer service skills.
