Newcastle City Council is recruiting a Mobile Chef to support schools across the city. Working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7.00am–2.00pm, term time only, you will lead catering teams of assistants and deliver meals to pupils.
You should hold NVQ Level 2 in Food Processing and Cooking (or equivalent) and have at least 3 years' experience in a busy catering environment. You will develop menus, maintain high standards, and ensure excellent customer service.

Facility Services and Civic Management work across the city and Gateshead providing building cleaning, caretaking, school meals and welfare catering services.
We have a large team of cleaners, cleaner supervisors, facility supervisors (caretakers), catering assistants, assistant chefs and chefs working various hours and shifts in schools and public buildings.

We are currently looking for a confident, reliable and friendly person with a positive attitude to join our team as a Mobile Chef. This is a new and exciting role that involves working with teams of Catering Assistants at various schools across the city; meeting new people and delivering great food. It is essential you hold a minimum NVQ level 2 in Food Processing and Cooking or equivalent. You must also have a minimum of 3 years’ experience of working within a busy catering environment.
