Job summary

McCarthy & Stone is seeking a Mobile Care Assistant in the Bournville, Birmingham area to support older homeowners with personal care and daily living tasks. The role requires travel between developments and a valid UK driving licence. Training is provided for those without Level 2 Health and Social Care certification.

The position offers a base hourly rate of £14.50 with additional earnings for evening (£0.30) and weekend (£1.30) hours, plus travel expense coverage and mileage at 43p per mile.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Health and Social Care preferred; full training provided.
• Valid full UK driving licence and access to own car.
• Flexible rota including early mornings, late shifts, weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised care including help with daily activities, personal hygiene and medication assistance.
• Maintain communal areas and offer domestic support such as cleaning, shopping and household tasks.
• Assist homeowners with social activities, transport arrangements and appointments.
