Job summary

McCarthy & Stone Ltd is seeking passionate Mobile Care Assistants to join our care team across Newbury and Thatcham. You will travel between developments, providing personal care and lifestyle support to older adults, including domestic tasks and companionship.

The role offers a probation bonus of £300, mileage at 43p per mile, and travel expenses covered. Part-time hours on a rota basis, with mornings, evenings, and alternate weekends, plus a generous package including pension, life insurance,

Qualifications

• Experience in care environment preferred but not essential; full training provided.
• Strong interpersonal skills, empathy and time management are essential.
• Domestic or housekeeping experience considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised care including daily activities, personal hygiene and medication assistance.
• Maintain communal areas and provide domestic support such as cleaning, shopping and household tasks.
• Offer social support, transport arrangements and accompany to appointments.
