Job summary

McCarthy & Stone is seeking Mobile Care Assistants to join our expanding care team across Newbury and Thatcham. You will provide personal care and domestic support, travel between developments, and help maintain wellbeing for our homeowners.

You’ll work on a rota that includes mornings, evenings and alternate weekends. A full UK driving license and access to your own car are essential; travel expenses are covered and mileage is paid at 43p per mile. Bonus after probation is £300.

Qualifications

• Caring experience is valued but full training is provided.
• Strong interpersonal skills and empathy are essential.
• Ability to manage time effectively and support wellbeing activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised care, including help with daily activities, personal hygiene, and medication assistance.
• Maintain communal areas within developments and provide domestic support (cleaning, shopping, tasks).
• Support social activities, transport arrangements, and attendance at appointments to enhance wellbeing.
