Job summary

Somerset Council is seeking an MIS Support Technician in Somerset. The role supports management information systems, CRM platforms and reporting for Connect to Work, Community Learning and other programmes.

You’ll work with the Strategic Data Lead to maintain data accuracy, assist users and improve system processes. The position offers full-time hours (37 per week) with hybrid working arrangements and a Grade 14 salary of £26,016–£26,847 per annum.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting business systems, databases, CRM platforms or MIS.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Experience troubleshooting system issues and supporting users.
• Confidence working with data and maintaining accurate records.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to changing requirements.
• Proactive approach to improving systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line support for programme management information systems and CRMs.
• Support colleagues with data and system queries, user access requests and troubleshooting.
• Assist with day-to-day CRM administration, system configuration, maintenance and testing.
• Help implement system and process changes driven by service developments and reporting needs.
• Produce and maintain user guides, process documentation and training materials.
• Monitor data quality and support ongoing system improvements.
