Job summary

Renaissance Care is seeking a dedicated Minibus Driver to support residents at Letham Park and Glencairn Care Homes. The role is 30 hours per week and requires driving residents safely, with emphasis on courteous interaction and resident wellbeing.

You will be responsible for vehicle upkeep, documentation, and coordination with the central office. Applicants should have a clean licence, with a preference for those holding a D1 licence and a minimum of 8 years driving experience.

Qualifications

• Clean driving licence is required.
• 8+ years driving experience preferred for this role.
• D1 licence preferred for optimal suitability.

Responsibilities

• Drive minibus safely and responsibly at all times.
• Ensure residents are safely strapped in and assisted on/off the minibus.
• Maintain the minibus' cleanliness and mechanical upkeep.
• Coordinate with the central support office as needed.
• Transfer residents to hospital, dental appointments, etc., as required.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Minibus Driver for 30 hours per week to cover Letham Park and Glencairn Care Homes.

Hours of work: 30

To meet our company insurance requirements, you should have a minimum of 8 years of driving experience, with a preference for candidates who hold a D1 Driving Licence. As part of your role, you will be responsible for ensuring the vehicle’s documentation is up-to-date, coordinating with the central support office as necessary.

When transporting residents, you will drive in a safe, responsible manner at all times. You will interact with residents professionally, responding to their needs with courtesy and respect.

As the designated driver, you will also take responsibility for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the minibus. The safety of the residents is a top priority, and you will collaborate with the Wellbeing Lead to assist residents on and off the minibus securely and ensure they are properly strapped in throughout the journey.

Requirements

An essential aspect of the role is upholding the values of People, Friendly, Passionate and Inclusion . To be successful in this role you will have a clean driving license, that allows you to drive a mini bus. You will be prepared to available during working hours, to transfer residents to hospital, dental appointments etc.
