Job summary

Bridgehouseabingdon is seeking a Weekend Mini Bus Driver for Ashbrook Court Care Home. The role focuses on the safety and comfort of residents during transport, with daily vehicle checks and timely reporting of issues.

You will engage with residents in a friendly, respectful manner while upholding their dignity. Requirements include a full, clean driver’s licence with evidence of D1 and a clean criminal record.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full, clean driver’s licence and provide evidence of D1 on your licence.
• Clean criminal record is required.
• You will drive a car and a minibus and complete relevant paperwork daily.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and comfort of residents when driving them to destinations.
• Carry out daily safety and cleaning checks of the vehicle and report issues to the home manager.
• Interact with residents daily in a friendly, caring and dignified manner.
• Complete log sheets and relevant paperwork as required.

About the role

As our Weekend Mini Bus Driver, you will be responsible for the safety and comfort of our residents when driving them to their destinations. You will carry out daily safety and cleaning checks of the vehicle and report any issues to the home manager. You will interact with our residents on a daily basis - so you'll be friendly, caring and kind whilst respecting our resident's dignity at all times.

Here's some other important things you need to know:

• You must have a full, clean drivers’ licence and clean criminal record – you will be driving a car and a minibus and so will need to provide documentary evidence of D1 on your licence
• You'll complete all relevant paperwork and fill in log sheets as required on a daily basis.
