Job summary

Supertemps Limited is seeking a Mini Bus Driver in the UK to safely transport adults to day care services. The role requires a D1 minibus entitlement, Midas and CPC qualifications, and experience driving minibuses.

You will interact warmly with service users and carers, ensure safety, and keep vehicles in good condition. The temporary position runs for 8 weeks, usually 30 hours per week, with a pay rate of £12.71 per hour plus accrued holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with D1 minibus entitlement.
• Midas certificate and Driver CPC.
• Previous experience driving minibuses.
• Caring, patient and understanding approach with vulnerable adults.
• Good communication and liaison with service users, parents, carers and colleagues.
• Understanding needs of vulnerable people.

In the Mini Bus Driver role, you will be:

• Safely transporting service users to and from their homes and day care settings
• Collecting and returning service users in a safe, comfortable and respectful manner
• Assisting with the loading and unloading of wheelchairs and other specialist equipment
• Providing a friendly and professional point of contact for service users, parents and carers
• Communicating relevant information regarding service users’ needs and wellbeing to appropriate colleagues
• Carrying out routine vehicle checks and reporting any issues or defects
• Keeping departmental vehicles clean and well maintained

To be considered for the Mini Bus Driver role, you will need:

• A full UK driving licence with D1 minibus entitlement
• Midas certificate and Driver CPC
• Previous experience driving minibuses
• A caring, patient and understanding approach when working with vulnerable adults
• Good communication skills and the ability to liaise sensitively with service users, parents, carers and colleagues
• An understanding of the needs of vulnerable people

This is a temporary position ongoing for the period of 8 weeks, working 30 hours per week.The role offers an hourly rate of £12.71 per hour + accrued holiday pay whilst on assignment.
