Qualifications

  • Experience as a Welder, MIG/TIG Welder or Plater within fabrication, engineering or heavy manufacturing.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications.

  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Awareness of safe working practices and lifting operations.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications.
  • Mark out, assemble, fit, tack and weld components.
  • Carry out plating, fabrication and welding activities to the required standard.
  • Use fabrication machinery, welding equipment and hand tools safely and effectively.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Work with overhead cranes and lifting equipment where trained.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organised work area.
  • Follow all company quality and health & safety procedures.

Job Title: Welders & Platers

Location: Oldham

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit experienced Welders, MIG/TIG Welders and Platers to join our fabrication team.

Working within a heavy manufacturing environment, you will be involved in the production of high-quality fabricated components, working from engineering drawings and specifications to meet demanding quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications
  • Mark out, assemble, fit, tack and weld components
  • Carry out plating, fabrication and welding activities to the required standard
  • Use fabrication machinery, welding equipment and hand tools safely and effectively
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Work with overhead cranes and lifting equipment where trained
