Job Description:

Location: Northampton

Details: Permanent position offering £14 - £14.50 per hour, with overtime at enhanced rates. Working days Monday to Friday.

The employer: A specialist supplier of bespoke lifting equipment and general fabrications.

Responsibilities:

• MIG weld and fabricate on mild steel (mainly from 3mm to 8mm thick).
• Produce lifting equipment from standard steel stock sections and machined parts.
• Perform MIG welding (90%) and TIG welding (10%).
• Use press drills, cutting and chop saws, hand, and air tools.
• Tack, weld, grind, and finish products.
• Conduct quality inspections.

Candidate requirements:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in MIG welding and fabricating on mild steel from engineering drawings.
• TIG welding experience is advantageous but not essential.
• On-site parking available.
