Job Title: MIG Welder Fabricator

Salary and Hours

• £14.50-£15.50 per hour
• Northampton
• Monday - Thursday, 8am - 5pm & Friday 8am - 4pm
• 39.5 hours per week
• Overtime paid at an enhanced rate

Company Overview

Specialist supplier/manufacturer of bespoke lifting equipment and general fabrications.

Job Responsibilities

1. MIG weld and fabricate on mild steel, primarily from 3mm to 8mm thickness.
2. Produce lifting equipment from standard steel stock sections and machined parts.
3. Perform MIG welding (90%) and TIG welding (10%).
4. Use press drills, cutting and chop saws, hand, and air tools.
5. Tack, weld, grind, and finish products.
6. Conduct quality inspections.

Candidate Requirements

1. Minimum 3 years of MIG welding and fabrication experience on mild steel from engineering drawings.
2. TIG welding experience is advantageous but not essential.
